Reaching Huatulco (HUX)

From Canada, WestJet is offering convenient direct flight options. Commencing on October 29th, 2023, there will be direct flights departing from Toronto every Friday. For those traveling from Calgary, starting on October 31st, you can catch direct flights on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays. Edmonton will also offer direct flights on Thursdays, beginning November 2nd. Vancouver residents can enjoy direct flights on Thursdays, Saturdays, and Sundays starting from October 29th, while Winnipeg will have direct flights available every Saturday starting December 24th.

Air Canada provides another travel option with flights originating from Toronto on Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays commencing October 29th.

If you are traveling from the United States, American Airlines will operate flights on Wednesdays and Saturdays from Dallas starting November 8th. There is also the possibility that Volaris may offer Saturday flights from Chicago. For those located in Southern California, you can take advantage of the Cross Border Express (CBX) from San Diego to Tijuana, and from there, you can catch a direct flight on Volaris on Mondays, Thursdays, or Saturdays.

Travelers departing from Mexico City have multiple flight choices into Huatulco, with approximately 10 daily flights available. Aeromexico offers three regular daily flights into Huatulco, while VivaAerobus provides two daily flights. Volaris has daily flights from Mexico City and flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays from NLU. MagniCharters operates flights three times per week on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays. Aerotucan offers flights from Oaxaca (please check their website for the schedule). Viva provides flights to Monterrey on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays, while Volaris offers Thursday and Sunday flights to Tijuana, where you can conveniently access the Cross Border Express to San Diego. Volaris also offers flights to Guadalajara on Thursday and Sunday.

Traveling to Puerto Escondido (PXM)

Puerto Escondido can be easily reached with over 10 daily flights from Mexico City. Aeromexico offers two daily flights, Volaris provides up to five daily flights, and VivaAerobus operates three daily flights. Additionally, Magni Charters offers supplementary flights to Puerto Escondido.

An alternative route to Puerto Escondido is to fly directly to Huatulco and then take a taxi or bus to reach your final destination. The Highway 200, with its four lanes for most of the journey, has significantly reduced travel time to approximately 90 minutes.
