Bayside Vacations Huatulco is taking the current global health and travel crisis very seriously and are taking extra precautions with sanitizing and cleanliness, and ensuring social distancing with guests. We want to share a few important steps we are taking to ensure you and your group stay healthy and safe on vacation!

Safety & Cleaning Protocols

The safety of everyone is our priority. We are actively monitoring and following the guidance of the World Health Organization and the Centers for Disease Control to do our part to keep our guests, employees, and community safe including:

  • Updating all cleaning protocols with cleaning staff to ensure that the right measures are being followed to minimise the spread of Coronavirus (and other germs too.)
  • Cleaning and sanitizing of the condominium before and after each stay – Carried out by our cleaning team, previously trained on the correct use of products endorsed by official organizations to guarantee the cleaning and disinfection of the space and surfaces of more contact.
  • Cleaning staff to pay particular attention to disinfecting high touch areas, including door handles, light switches, remote controls, stair handrails, cabinet knobs, AC thermostats, smart locks, lockboxes and keys. 
  • Providing pump bottles of gel hand sanitizer in every property.
  • Placing antibacterial soaps in each bathroom
  • Providing disinfectant cleaning products in each property for use during your stay.
  • Monitoring the health of our team members and urging everyone to be vigilant about frequent hand washing.
  • Cleaning supervision by the Vacation Rental Specialist before each arrival to ensure its proper completion.
  • Laundry service using the products endorsed by official organizations to guarantee cleaning and disinfection.

 

Check In & Check Out Procedure

To minimize person-to-person contact, some of our properties are equipped with smart locks or lockboxes, letting you check in and check out without interfacing with staff. All properties without smart locks will have a set of disinfected keys placed inside the property prior to your arrival, with the doors left unlocked. The property will have been cleaned and will be ready/empty in anticipation of your arrival. A member of our Bayside team will be waiting inside the property and will provide a thorough walk through with 1 guest while the other guests await from a safe distance. 

Additional procedures implemented for guest check in/outs include:

  • Correct use of protection elements, such as mouth guards and gloves at all times by the Vacation Rental Specialist, drivers of transport units and guests.
  • Airport shuttle service to property to include:
    • Cleaning of transport units between each service.
    • Luggage cleaning by transport unit driver.
  • Pantry purchase service to prevent guests from going to consumption centers or shops.
  • Distance between each person of minimum 1.5 m.
  • Sanitary safety kit with face covers, disinfecting towels and antibacterial gel available.
  • Mat with sanitizing solution for shoe cleaning at the entrance of the property.

 

Digital guide book check in

Prior to arrival, your Vacations Rental Specialist will email you the guest package. This guest package is full of useful information about your property and information on additional concierge services we offer including shopping, dining and tour information as well as emergency contact information. The advantage of using digital guidebooks is that we can offer you local recommendations and give clear instructions on how to operate the property features without having to be there in person. We request that you download and/or print this guest package for use during your stay. All hard copy guest packages will be removed from the property as they are considered ‘high touch’ items. 

 

Changeover Days

We have adjusted our reservation settings so that we are now allowing changeover days on every day of the week. This ensures our cleaning team has ample time to clean, disinfect and sanitize each property. It will be important for us to adhere to our 11am check out and 4pm check in times to ensure the properties are thoroughly cleaned before your arrival.

 

Maintenance Staff

Our Maintenance team will visit only in case of emergency. Maintenance personnel will wear sanitary protection equipment at all the time.
