About a mile East of Viewpoint at Puerto Angel is Playa Estacahuite (ay-stah-kah-WEE-tay). ย This tight cove shelters you from the currents of the Pacific Ocean and has great little coral nooks making it great for snorkeling and swimming. ย This small 300 foot beach has basic amenities in the form of aย pair ofย palapaย restaurants perched picturesquely above the beaches that provide food and drinks. ย
Playa Estacahuite is located 200 metres from the Viewpoint condo and Puerto Angel. ย Take highway 175 toward Pochutla for a 1/4 mile and look for the sign that says Casa ย Bichu and head to the end of the road. ย You can get there byย taxi or on foot via the dirt road that forks right off the highway.ย
