Nothing soothes my soul more than sitting on my terrace in Mexico watching the waves roll in & fishing boats go by while listening to soulful music – it’s my therapy and my passion.  They were tough picks, but here are my Top 5 Songs for the Sunshine that I want to share with you. Add them to your playlist for your next Mexico Vacation and get swept away!

#1 – Bob Marley – Stir It Up

No one captivates a shining sun, a waving palm tree and a beautiful ocean breeze like the legendary Bob Marley.  And this song encompasses all of these things perfectly.  Close your eyes, smile and sing along.

#2 – All Saints – Pure Shores

I first heard this song on the motion picture ‘The Beach’ and fell in love with it’s relaxing sounds and chill vibe.

#3 – Nina Simone – Here Comes the Sun (Francois K Remix) 

This song perfectly captures Nina’s soulful voice and the feeling you get when you are in that perfect place. Relax, Unwind & Enjoy.

#4 – Coldplay – Strawberry Swing

Love the band and love the song.  It reminds me of Summer 2008 at the lake with my girlfriends, where we were all able to get away from the craziness of the city and our busy lives.  That Summer this amazing album was played many times as we soaked up the sun in Saskatchewan, enjoying the long days and beautiful sunsets together.

#5 – Kenny Chesney & Dave Matthews – I’m Alive

As I listen to this song I am reminded of how grateful I am to be living in this amazing world in the beautiful country of Mexico;  To breathe in the fresh ocean air each day and watch the sunset each night and to live in a culture that cherishes family and tradition over having material things.  These are memories that will last forever.  Thank you to Kenny Chesney & Dave Matthews for this beautiful song that allows us to take a step back and be truly appreciative to be here.
