Canadian Sun destination

Canadians are well known for being snowbirds, as the winters in North America can be extremely harsh and long, and many take this time during the winter months to escape down to the warmer southern countries, and then choose to stay closer to home during the warmer summers.  Always popular Canadian Sun destination includes many of the warmer states in the United States including Florida and Arizona, but increasing numbers are choosing to go to Mexico, and the current strength of the loonie is making homeownership increasingly attractive.

Mexico has much to recommend it to anyone looking for a Canadian Sun destination, as imagine living in a beautiful condo right on the coast which has an unobstructed view of a glorious white sandy beach and sparkling ocean.  If you step outside your condo then you are just about on that gorgeous beach, and what could be nicer than enjoying an early morning walk before the sun gets too hot? Perhaps a bit later you may take a dip in the infinity pool, or maybe hop on the Internet and check on the folks back home to discover exactly how deep snow is today.  It’s not at all difficult to see why people are choosing to spend winters here, especially with 100% Canadian owned oceanfront developments available.

Puerto Angel – A recent favorite Canadian Destination

Two particularly nice developments are Viewpoint at Puerto Angel, and Oasis Pacifico which are both 100% Canadian owned developments, and will greatly appeal to anyone searching for the perfect Canadian Sun destination.  Viewpoint consists of 33 luxury condominiums perched on a high promontory giving fabulous views of the Pacific Ocean.  Purchasers can choose from two and three bedroom condos or even Penthouse as all include high-quality finishing.  They are fitted with state-of-the-art appliances, gourmet kitchens, satellite television and the all-important Internet.  One of the advantages of this development is that it is near to Puerto Angel, which is an extremely attractive village well known for its stunning beaches and relaxed pace of living.

Oasis Pacifico is a slightly different concept as this is a 34 acre site which has been divided up into 122 lots.  The development is located on Tahueca Beach, which has the reputation of being one of the largest and most beautiful beaches in Huatulco Bay.  All in all, this development has in incredible 2000 feet of beach frontage.  It’s designed as a secluded and gated community, with lot sizes ranging from 700 m² to 950 m².  To put this into perspective this is about 1 3/4 times the size of an average residential lot in Calgary.  This exclusive gated community comes with its own that gorgeous pool, which is located amongst palm trees and utilizes natural rock formations.  It is big enough to have its own little island in the centre, with a connecting bridge.  If you are in search of a Canadian Sun destination, then Mexico has everything you could ever imagine and more.  It’s easy for Canadians to reach their new home with flights landing at the nearby Huatulco International Airport.  Escaping the winter has never been so easy, or so affordable.
