Mexicana airline, once Mexico’s leading carrier, said on February 24, 2012 that it expects to fly again in April after being grounded in bankruptcy for the past 18 months.

A bankruptcy judge gave the green light for Med Atlantica, a private company, to invest $300 million in the airline and it’s operations.

They plan on starting operations with seven planes, but hopes to grow to 44 planes by the end of 2012.
